Flywheel floating on gas cushion

Abstract

By utilizing the differential gas pressure of the sealed gas cushion, the flywheel floats on the gas cushion. Thus, the flywheel does not apply gravity pressure onto the bearing, thereby saving the energy consumption extremely to maintain the rotation of the flywheel. The invention can be used for easily floating the rotor and the water wheel of the Three Gorges water wheel generator weighing thousands of tons on the gas cushion. The air cushion flywheel of the invention enables vehicles, ships and aircrafts to be operated steadily so that the vehicles, ships and aircrafts can not turn over, and can also supply power for energy-storage buses.
利用密封的气垫的气压差使飞轮悬浮在气垫上,飞轮对轴承无重力压力,维持飞轮旋转的能耗极省。使用本发明可以轻松地使千吨重的三峡水轮发电机转子及水轮悬浮在气垫上,使用本发明的气垫飞轮,可以帮助车、船、飞行器稳定航行,不会侧翻,也可以作储能公交车动力。
