The embodiment of the invention discloses a hand-held device with a keyboard. The hand-held device comprises a device body and a keyboard and a display screen which are arranged on the device body, wherein the keyboard is positioned above the display screen. In the embodiment of the invention, the keyboard is positioned above the display screen. The weight of the display screen is heavier, so that the entire hand-held device has a lower center-of-gravity position. When a user holds the hand-held device by one hand, the palm can cover the most area of the hand-held device, so that the user can easily maintain the stability by holding the hand-held device through one hand. Most area of the hand-held device is still under the control of the palm even when the keyboard is frequently pressed by the thumb, and the hand-held device has lower horizontal shaking amplitude or even can not shake horizontally, thereby facilitating use of users. Besides, when the user adopts the keyboard to enter information (such as composing a mail or a short message), the display screen can be easily watched in the user angle but can not be easily watched in other angles due to the blocking of the palm of a user, thereby ensuring the privacy of the user operation.
